No experience needed. Learn the foundations of wheel-throwing in a small, supportive class at Mudpie Studio. Across six sessions, you’ll progress from prepping clay to trimming and glazing—finishing with functional, food-safe pieces that you’ll be proud to use or gift.
Schedule
- Thursdays, 6:00pm - 8:30pm: November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, December 4th, and 11th
What You’ll Learn
- Week 1-2: Clay basics, wedging, centering, first forms (cylinders/bowls)
- Week 3: Pulling walls, shaping, consistency & form
- Week 4: Trimming (foot rings, proportion) + optional handles
- Week 5-6: Glazing (application, food-safe finishes)
What’s Included
- Clay for class projects + use of studio wheels/tools
- Bisque & glaze firings for up to 10 pieces
- Small class sizes (4 seats per class) allow for hands-on guidance every session

Make-Up Policy
If you need to miss one class, we offer one free make-up in another cohort if space allows. If you expect to miss more than one, consider a later start date.
Cancellations & Refunds
- more than 7 days before start date: full refund minus $50 processing fee
- less than 7 days or no-show: non-refundable (you’re welcome to gift your spot)
After-Class Timeline & Pickup
Kiln cycles take 2–3 weeks after your final session. We’ll email when your pieces are ready; please pick up within 30 days.
